Wine Cellar in Pinell de Brai
Year: 1918.
Location: Pinell de Brai (Spain).
Description: The building consists of four contiguous naves of 10 by 31,50 meters, one of them destined to the wineries and other wine cellars. Though originally the covers were thought to be made of conventional wood frames, the formal success of Gandesa's cooperative forces Martinell to change it into parabolic arches of molding bricks. The exterior, which looks like three basilical naves, contains three large windows of thermal origin of exposed brick and Xavier Nogués' famous ceramic baseboard that crowns the stone basement.
