Wine Cellar in Pira
Year: 1919
Location: Pira (Spain)
Description: The original building is formed by two main parts: the court of the dump and three streets of tubs. It is made of exposed brick which follows the rythm of the parabolic arches, the pillars, supports and nerves. It is necessary to emphasize that the bricks used in the first phase of construction are not normalized, but they were done by special molds to adapt them to the forms that the configuration of arches and pilasters required, with which Martinell enjoyed himself specially to show its majesty.
